EH Montessori Sound-Memo

The Montessori Sound Memo combines pair-matching and listening play in an 8-piece set made from FSC® 100%-certified birchwood. Four different sounds are built into the pieces – each round involves shaking the pieces, comparing the sounds and finding the matching pairs by ear, while small hands grip solid wooden shapes. The play principle is clear and tangible: 2 pieces belong together when they produce the same sound. This simple sequence encourages concentration, because every comparison relies on attentive listening rather than visible clues. The 8-piece format stays easy to manage on a table, shelf or play mat, and the birchwood gives each round a smooth, pleasant feel. Picking up, moving and bringing the pieces together also supports fine motor skills through repeated grasping and deliberate placing. The set suits quiet play sessions at home, early learning spaces and short shared rounds where sound recognition takes centre stage. It can be brought out for focused matching play or used as a straightforward listening activity with 4 different sound pairs. Learn more about FSC® | www.fsc.org | FSC-C005308
