Eichhorn Montessori Touch Board

The Montessori Sensory Board brings together 9 tactile stones and a wooden matching board for a focused sensory activity centred on feeling, comparing and placing. Each round insert has its own surface texture, so hands discover a different structure with every piece lifted out and returned. The 10-piece set is made from FSC® 100%-certified beech and plywood, and the layout of the board keeps all 9 positions clearly visible during play. The stones are removed, their different surfaces explored with the fingers and each piece placed back into the matching round recess. This repeated sequence encourages tactile perception, concentration and fine motor skills through concrete action rather than abstract instruction. The contrasting surfaces also invite careful comparison of the inserts, while the solid wooden format gives every piece a clearly graspable shape. On the table this creates a calm sorting task that can be repeated piece by piece or played as a free sensory exploration. The recommended age from 3 years and the compact 10-piece format suit short focused sessions as well as longer moments of sorting, feeling and comparing.
