Montessori Sorting Balls

The Montessori Sorting Balls bring together 9 coloured balls, 1 board and 1 wooden spoon in an 11-piece set that introduces colour sorting through a clear, action-based sequence. Children aged 2 and up place each ball with the spoon into the matching hollow — every round combines colour recognition with controlled movement and visual matching. The board with colour-coordinated indentations makes each match easy to follow, while the spoon shifts the action from simple picking up to deliberate transferring. This added step encourages steadier wrist movements, more conscious gripping and repeated practice with matching. Components in birch and beech alongside lime plywood give the set its solid wooden character, and the smooth surfaces keep the pieces easy to handle during short and longer play sessions. On a table or play mat the set creates a calm sorting task that can be repeated ball by ball or as a complete matching round. The set also suits open-ended Montessori-style play, where children return to the board, spoon and balls at their own pace. More about FSC® | www.fsc.org | FSC-C005308
