Music Set Drum and Xylo

The Music Set Drum and Xylophone brings together 3 different sound elements in one compact wooden set: a drum, a xylophone and a rattle area. The xylophone features 3 colourful metal bars that respond to every strike of the wooden mallet, while the ridged rattle surface produces a scratching sound with a different hand movement. Thanks to the side grip opening on the round drum and the handy shape of the xylophone, both instruments sit comfortably in small hands during first music sessions. Plywood and birch form the wooden base of the set, and the 3-piece format keeps handling straightforward for first sound explorations from 12 months. Every action produces a direct acoustic response – whether tapping the drum, striking the bars or scraping the rattle – connecting movement with sound. The different playing surfaces also vary the tactile feel and encourage repeated grasping, holding and purposeful hand movements. The colourful bars make the striking surfaces easy to spot during play. On the floor, at a small table or during shared music-making, the set suits short rhythm games and free sound experiments. Drum, xylophone and rattle can be used one after another or combined in simple sequences, keeping early music play varied and active.
